Richmond Bridge Conservation Management Plan

A Draft Conservation Management Plan has been prepared for the Richmond Bridge. The Plan considers the various values associated with the bridge and recommends a series of strategies to assist in future management. As a valuable heritage place with strong social importance we value the community's input prior to finalisation of the plan.

The survey aims to provide reliable and robust data about Tasmania's heavy freight land transport task to support description, analysis and modelling of the land transport freight task for policy development and planning purposes. The survey collects information about commodities moved by heavy vehicles and rail for Tasmania's major companies.

The Tasmanian Transport Infrastructure Investment Strategy demonstrates the Tasmanian Government's infrastructure investment priorities and details the main projects to be undertaken in 2006-07 and planned to be undertaken in its five year forward works program.

 

Southern Integrated Transport Plan

 

Southern Integrated Transport Plan

The Southern Integrated Transport Plan is a joint initiative under the Southern Partnership Agreement. The Plan is being developed on a cooperative basis between the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources (DIER), the Southern Tasmanian Councils Authority (STCA) and the 12 Southern Councils.

The Tasmanian Road Safety Strategy 2007-2016

Tasmania Together is the Tasmanian Government's long-term social, economic and environmental plan for the future. Tasmania Together includes a number of specific targets for road safety:

  • By 2010: a 20% reduction in serious injuries and fatalities from 2005
  • By 2015: a 20% reduction in serious injuries and fatalities from 2010
  • By 2020: a 20% reduction in serious injuries and fatalities from 2015

The Tasmanian Road Safety Strategy 2007-2016 will strive to achieve these targets.

Tasmanian Road Safety Strategy Action Plan 2007/08 - 2009/10

There are four key Strategic Directions outlined in the Tasmanian Road Safety Strategy 2007-2016. These are:

  • Safer Travel Speeds
  • Best Practice Infrastructure
  • Increased Safety for Young Road Users
  • Enhanced Vehicle Safety

This Action Plan outlines the key initiatives the Tasmanian Government is committed to implementing for the Financial Years 2007/08 to 2009/10.
